Rare Antique Japanese Military Battleship Mikasa Sailor Lacquer Navy Sake Cup (3)This is a cup from a collection of cups from one single sailor on the battleship Mikasa, famous for being the flagship of Admiral Togo in the Battle of Tsushima. The cup is decorated with a naval insignia, a pair of flag, with the words "Congratulations on Term Fulfillment" "Gift to Mr. Yoneyama". The sailor's name Moro is on the back. Condition: Mint Size: 4" across

Condition: Excellent - slight fading of the gold

There's a maker's mark embossed at the base

There's a crease in the glaze at 3 o'clock due to imperfect craftsmanship

decorated with a red cross being carried by an eagle

The words are "16th Infantry Commemoration"

decorated with a pair of chrysanthemums and the big words "Glory of the Nation"

The words are "China Incident Victorious Return Commemoration" and "Army Medic Department"

The smaller flags include one for Manchukuo

The red is meant to imitate lacquer

There are no identifiable features on the photo

On the outside is a price tag with 1500 yen listed on it - probably from some antique shop
